Everyone deserves a second chance and that’s the exact motto for the cat rescue shelter based in Melbourne that goes by the same name – 2nd Chance Cat Rescue.

2nd Chance Cat Rescue has a pro-life approach, with numerous feral, stray and abandoned kittens successfully socialised and re-homed. The rescue has found that even the most apprehensive or timid animals can become wonderful companions if enough quality time is spent with them. Each of their carers go to great lengths in supporting the cats in their care to become loving adoptees.

What we love about this cat rescue is their attention to ensuring that new pet owners are also screened appropriately and matched to their new family member before the adoption process commences. All potential owners are screened using a comprehensive questionnaire designed to ensure that the kitten(s) are suited to their new environment and owners before leaving 2nd Chance Cat Rescue.

What else do we love about this Victorian organisation? Well of course, their love of Catmate that is used throughout the shelter.
